The Sydney Spring Racing Carnival is full of a number of different exciting races; one of these being the Group 3 The Golden Tiara.
The Golden Tiara has been the destination of choice for many quality gallopers since its inception in 1996. The Golden Tiara, which is was previously known as the Research Stakes, is a Group 3 race open to fillies and mares that are aged three-years-old and upwards.Golden Tiara

Run over a sprinter’s distance of 1,200 metres, The Golden Tiara takes place at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on Sydney each September. The Golden Tiara is worth a total of $125,000 in prize money, a far cry from the $6.2 million on offer for the Melbourne Cup – many more millions also spent on Melbourne Cup betting in Victoria during the spring.

Starting in 1951, the race is run towards late May and early June each year.
